SiteSync

Overview


SiteSync is a powerful, time-saving feature that:

  • shares reviews and Q&A across different stores with the same products (e.g. stores in different languages but with same products and SKUs); or
  • facilitates the seamless migration of reviews and Q&A across different e-commerce platforms where HelpfulCrowd is installed.

Leveraging consistent product SKUs, SiteSync enables the automated sharing and transfer of reviews and Q&A —eliminating the need for manual editing or formatting.

Requirements

  • HelpfulCrowd installed on both platforms: as each e-commerce platform use different product IDs, you will need to install a new HelpfulCrowd App on each different store, using a different email address for each installation so that it has a unique App registration.
  • SKU Integrity: It requires identical product SKUs across both the old and new platforms to successfully match and transfer, reviews and questions.


Steps to set up SiteSync


  1. Get the target store’s Hash ID (unique identifier) - the HASHID that relates to the store that you wish to copy or migrate the reviews/Q&A over to. You will find it under Settings → Account → Unique Store HashId in the HelpfulCrowd app of the target store.

  1. In the store that you want to copy the reviews to -> Navigate to Marketing → SiteSync in the HelpfulCrowd dashboard.


  1. Select Sync method:


  > Bidirectional sync - (Enable for both-way syncing between stores). If Disabled, reviews and questions will sync only one-way—from the referenced store into the current store.

  > Continuous sync - (Enable to keep syncing automatically) When Enabled, syncs happen continuously either one-way or bidirectionally, depending on the Bidirectional setting.

  1. Date range - Select the “From” and “To” dates to sync only those reviews/Q&A created within that specified time period.




  1. Once the SiteSync is set up, you can click on "Start Syncing" button, and it will start syncing the reviews to the new store. Please note that the syncing may take few minutes depending on the number of the reviews.




  1. Delete Synced Data - It will help you delete the synced reviews from the current store.




  1. Deactivate Sync - It will pause the syncing process, and it can be resumed by clicking on Activate sync button.
