Migrating to a new platform
π Review Migration Overview
HelpfulCrowd is available on all leading eCommerce platforms, so migrating your reviews to your new stores is usually super simple.
Before getting started, it's worthwhile understanding about how HelpfulCrowd works with different e-commerce platforms.
When you create a new product in a platform, the platform assigns their own unique product identifier (ID). For this reason, it is not possible to use your existing HelpfulCrowd account to the new store, so you will first need to install HelpfulCrowd on your new store first before attempting to migrate.
π Migration Options
Option 1: Automated Migration via HelpfulCrowd SiteSync
If both stores use identical product SKUs, we can automatically migrate the reviews using our SiteSync feature. This seamless process transfers reviews from the old app to the new app without any manual editing.
Option 2: Export & Import Manually
- Request the reviews export file by contacting us via chat or email.
- In the CSV file:
- Locate the first column labeled
product_id
- Update the values in this column to match the new storeβs product IDs
- Once updated, import the file into our app:
- Go to Tools β Data Import β Import Reviews
- Reviews will then be processed and mapped to the corresponding products in your new store.
Option 3: Manual Assistance for Small Catalogs
If your store contains approximately 20 products or fewer, we offer complimentary manual migration to ensure accuracy and minimize effort on your part.
